With her firm focus in the educational sector, she has demonstrated competence in career development, 21st century life skills training, and foundational skills development.targeted at marginalized children and youths. . She has also managed various programs and projects funded by UNICEF, UKFCDO, GlobalGiving, Malafund, etc.
Funmilola is an Educational Economist with demonstrated competencies in impact measurement and evaluation and has supported the design and implementation of programs to improve education quality. Also an ardent researcher with a strong background in qualitative and quantitative research methodology, she is well versed in a range of statistical and econometric packages such as SPSS, and Excel for research modeling and analysis as well as ODK and SurveyTOGO for data collection.

With a background in Electronics and Communication Engineering, he possesses a solid foundation in understanding complex systems and developing creative solutions. She advocates for the educational rights and equity of refugees, vulnerable children, and other marginalized groups.
Over the years, she has been dedicated to amplifying the voices of underserved communities, using storytelling as a powerful tool for advocacy. Her work emphasizes the critical role of early intervention and support in shaping the future of children through education, driving meaningful change where it is needed most.
Maureen is a development practitioner with over 6 years’ experience designing, implementing and evaluating programs in various fields of health, education, livelihoods and protection. My work in the health and education sector has enhanced close and constructive engagement with diverse groups and stakeholders through participatory engagements and advocacy that strengthens institutions and systems especially for the benefit of the people in underserved communities. Which has resulted in the reduction of the poverty level of marginalized households.
Lucky Owoicho is an Education Development Practitioner and currently serves as the Programme and Innovation Manager, leading the organisation’s Digital Equity Portfolio. He oversees the Digital Skills Accelerator Programme. With over five years of experience in programme management, curriculum design, and community development across Nigeria, Lucky brings deep expertise in digital inclusion and gender-responsive programming. He is passionate about building pathways for girls and young women to access and thrive in digital spaces. Lucky is a Fellow of the Nigerian School on Internet Governance and an Open Minds Young Voices Fellow (Friedrich Ebert Stiftung).
Praise is a Research Practice Lead at AREAi’s Centre for Digital and Innovation Research where she works at the intersection of research, policy, and implementation to rethink how education systems function in Africa.
Her work focuses on interrogating digital literacy, skill development, accelerated learning for out-of-school children, learning poverty, system inefficiencies, and the role of emerging technologies, such as AI, in shaping equitable learning futures. Rather than producing research for its own sake, she develops evidence frameworks that are designed to influence decisions, guide interventions, and drive measurable change. She is particularly interested in how context-driven evidence can reshape education systems and improve learning outcomes in low and middle-income countries.
Iveren Ayede is a development practitioner whose commitment and expertise rest on the nexus of
educational systems strengthening, evidence-based policy and practice, and context-specific
curriculum design.
Over the last five years, she has provided technical support for commendable initiatives like the
World Bank HOPE Education Project, Africa Social Impact Summit 2025, and the Legislative
Mentorship Initiative. A long-serving volunteer with the Community of Sant’Egidio, she recently
led the development of a trauma-sensitive curriculum purposed to serve children in refugee,
internally displaced and hard-to-reach communities across Nigeria.
Currently, she serves as the Research Learning and Evidence Officer for AREAi. In this capacity
