Recently, Miss Oluwafunmilayo Ayobami of Iranwo Foundation, one of the 30 Youth Educators who participated in our inaugural ESD Young Leaders in Lagos, organized a step-it-down event to further empower other young leaders in developing skills and knowledge for Sustainable Development. This came as part of fulfilling one of the requirements meted out as part of participatory obligations for the workshop earlier organized and conducted.
The Workshop as organized by Iranwo Foundation was attended by organizational heads from various youth led organizations in Ogun State who are expanding the frontiers of sustainability in their various capacities. Various modules ranging from Communication, ESD Leadership, Visioning and Team Building were discussed.
Report from the event shows that discussions made were geared towards strengthen youth engagement and harness the demographic dividend and potential of youth in actualizing the Global Goal 4, especially the SDG4.7
We are excited with the results yielded from our daily efforts in mobilizing and empowering youth towards taking action to bridge the gap between education and sustainability. We remain committed to ensuring Education serves it’s holistic purpose of building active and conscientious citizens who are abreast of prevailing circumstances with the needed skills to develop sustainable solutions in making the world a better place.
